The Amalfi Coast offers a wide selection of charming Catholic churches in breathtaking locations, ranging from intimate chapels to imposing cathedrals that reflect Italy’s rich historic and artistic heritage. A Catholic ceremony can be performed in English by an English-speaking priest, ensuring a meaningful and understandable celebration for the couple.

All religious paperwork, translated into Italian, must be submitted to the Italian diocese no later than two months before the wedding day and no earlier than six months, otherwise it will expire. If either the bride or groom is divorced and the previous marriage has not been officially annulled, the ceremony cannot be celebrated in a Catholic church.

A Catholic marriage can also be legally binding upon request, based on the couple’s citizenship and required civil documents. Interfaith marriages require approval from the couple’s Bishop. Only sacred music is permitted and all songs must be approved by the priest or church music director.
