The enchanting Amalfi Coast is so unique, that it’s no wonder it has become one of the most popular spots to "elope" in Italy.
Nowadays, the term "to elope" no longer refers to the image of couples escaping from their families to marry in secret haste, but it represents a romantic and adventurous option to consider for those who love the idea of being just the two of them.
No need to focus all of their efforts on a grand set-up, table arrangements and all that involves gathering a large number of family and friends.
Couples who choose to elope want just to find the best place ever for their intimate and very relaxing "yes, I Do"!
Erina & Declan’s elopement last 12th October was really jaw-dropping!
Both Irish citizens, but living in different countries for job reasons (Erina in fact was living in the USA when she contacted us), they were looking for a quiet village on the Coast with astonishing sea views and a picturesque Catholic church, where to hold a religious legally binding ceremony.
We were quite in a hurry when dealing with all the required paperwork for both the religious and the legal wedding, because we only had three months to arrange it all, but in the end, thanks to our expertise as a destination wedding planners, we managed to assist them during this delicate process and everything went perfectly!
Erina & Declan spent a few days in the charming NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento of Amalfi, once a Capuchin Monastery, now a luxury five star hotel overlooking the sea.
They got ready there in the morning and took advantage of this such a beautiful hotel to have a photo session before the ceremony.
A private chauffeur in a Mercedes took them to the majestic Church of Santa Maria Maddalena in Atrani, where they had the ceremony celebrated by an English speaking priest and accompanied by the sweet sound of a violin, an harp and the moving voice of a soprano.
Beautiful flowers, in autumnal shades, adorned the Church.
Despite being just the two of them, Erina and Declan wanted everything to be so rich in details and carefully tended…
Afterwards, they spoiled themselves with beautiful pictures outdoors, in the patio in front of the Church, which is known as one of the most delightful spots on the Amalfi Coast for its breathtaking views.
After a stroll through Atrani and along the beach, they were picked up by the same chauffeur in Mercedes and taken to a stunning and unique venue, the restaurant Torre Normanna in Maiori, where they enjoyed a delicious lunch on an outcrop of rock by the sea, reserved for exclusive use, with a dedicated waiter, the "Ulysses table"…
What a romantic and unforgettable day for Erina & Declan!
We really do our utmost to make couples over the moon and realize their dream wedding...
