Italy offers a wide range of beautiful spots where to get married from north to south, such as romantic lakes, historical cities, seaside villages and countryside towns.
When it comes to choosing the right destination wedding location, the first question couples must ask, is what kind of landscape and setting they are looking for, since this choice can affect the style of the wedding.
Helen and Robert from the UK, were dreaming of a small picturesque seaside town, where they could "escape" for a one week holiday in autumn. They chose Amalfi, a very pretty village, rich in history and culture.
They left their three children at home and took advantage of this holiday abroad to celebrate their love with a symbolic wedding ceremony in a very stunning location, the NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento of Amalfi, once a Capuchin Monastery, now a luxury five star hotel overlooking the sea.
They exchanged their vows in front of a celebrant in the Arab Norman Cloister of the hotel, dating back to the 13th century, took lots of pictures along the evocative Monks' walk and enjoyed a cocktail on the panoramic terrace.
The centre of Amalfi, was the perfect after wedding backdrop for their photos with its white and pastel coloured houses, its dark blue waters and steep mountains … in one word, the picture-perfect location to say "I Do"!!!
